Hi Ladies! Groomsmen gifts?

So I have been lurking around this board and have made a few posts but have mainly stayed on March board.  I figured I would talk to some local brides and see how you all are making out and get some advice!

My date is approaching rapidly  (3/17/2012) and FI still needs to get his groomsmen gifts.  He wants to stay away from the flasks, money clips etc..

What are some unique gifts or ideas that you ladies may have for me??

  • Are the groomsmen fans of Philly teams? E.g. we bought an old-fashioned Philly ball for our best man since he is a huge Philly's fan... maybe that's something for you and your FI to consider...

  • Yes, they are all huge sports fans. I wanted to do Phillies tickets but the singles didn't go on sale yet!  Maybe we can do t-shirts or something....

  • How about these monogrammed steak branders...they are rally fun and something most people wouldn't go out and buy for themselves.

Engaged on August 13, 2011. Getting married on June 30, 2012 at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA
  • We did totally boring groomsmen gifts, but I like to say that Gzilla is a professional groomsmen, because he's been one at least half a dozen times, probably more than that.

Friends of ours got married back in '08, and they had great groomsmen gifts.  All the guys got a Phillies gnome... Phillies & Eagles beer cozies, and coolers with their names on them.   All of the groomsmen were all this one group of friends, and they used to go gnoming in college, so it was something personal for them.

If you want to do something like t-shirts, Gzilla gets shirts from this website.. I'll have to find it.  But they're off-beat sports shirts.  He has one with the liberty bell on it, and under it, it says "Baseball Heaven."  There's also one he bought in 2008 that has Matt Stairs on it, and it says "In case of emergency, use stairs" because of his big HR that season.  They have a TON of stuff like that on there.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.

  • We got or groomsmen cufflinks of their favorite team (Villanova, Eagles, Penn State, etc). I got them last month and they look really nice. We thought it was something they could use on the wedding day.
