downtown chicago venues

Any good ideas for venues with a great view and reasonable cost?

The Signature Room at John Hancock obviously has a great view and it wasn't terribly priced compared to everything else I looked at. I believe the F&B minimum was $6500 and no charge to rent out the private dining rooms.

Our favorites were Spiaggia and Grand Piazza.  Spiaggia has views of the lake and is in the heart of the city.  Grand Piazza has an awesome rooftop skyline.

I really liked Spiaggia for downtown, but they didn't have a date open that would work for us.  Ended up at the Metropolitan Club at the Sears Tower.  Views are fantastic, and we will be sending guests to the skydeck between ceremony/reception.

We are getting married at A New Leaf in Lincoln Park, so not exactly "downtown" but close enough for me!  Most affordable place we found and I LOVE the place.  I highly recommend it!

We are getting married at the Skydeck in the Sears Tower, The rental fee isn't bad at all. We do have to use one of their approved caterers, but the view is totally worth it! We also wanted something very unique that people would remember.
