Where are you getting married?

My FI and I are looking for an affordable venue in North Carolina that can host around 150 guests. Any suggestions?

We got married at 'The Rand-Bryan House' in Garner NC. We found it to be very reasonable in pricing and it can hold up to 300 people. You can have smaller parties there too and it won't look empty. We only had 60 guests :o)

It's a pretty vast state, do you have a region in mind?  What's your price range?

Levine Museum of the New South...we're only renting the downstairs of the museum for our wedding of 100, but I think the entire museum rented can hold 600..

I'm getting married at Treyburn Country Club in Durham, NC.  It's really pretty and affordable. We are having the ceremony outside there and the reception inside.  If you can find a member of Treyburn to sponsor you then they waive the rental fee of the space.  It doesn't have to be anyone close to you, she said even a friend of a friend would work.  We found someone who is a friend of someone that works with my FH.

I got married at the Bellamy Mansion in Wilmington. I think 150 would be a tight squeeze there - I only had 50 guests & it was perfect. Good luck finding something.

I got married at The State Club in Raleigh. Loved the venue and it had special meaning to my family, as we have a lot of NCSU grads.

I'm getting married on a private farm, but I did look at the Carolina Inn and Highgrove (LOVE both of them.) They were beyond my budget though so we took the offer from our friends to host our wedding on their property. :)

The Pavillions at the Angus Barn is also lovely. If you're in the Triad, Magnolia Manor (I think that's what it's called?) is very pretty and I think it's pretty affordable.
