Hello! I'm new to this site. My fiance and I got engaged on 25-12-11. We are wanting a beach wedding in Hawaii (we are in the UK). Has anyone out there already planned this and could possibly give some help/ideas/ tips on planning? Many thanks x

    Hi! Congrats and welcome! There are a lot of girls on here who are getting married in Hawaii, so you are in the right place! I think there is also a Hawaii board that you can check out too, but hope you stick around here! :)

    Welcome and congrats! Which island do you plan to get married on? I'm eloping to Oahu so I don't have much help on planning but there are a few ladies that have a lot of info about Maui. Good luck and definitely let us know all about your plans, we love to here about everyone's big day!

    Congrats and welcome!  I am also a Hawaii bride, but not a beach wedding.  Breaness on this board (and the Hawaii board) had an intimate beach wedding, as did a few others.

    Do you have a preference of which island you're interested in, and how many guests?  Hawaii has some odd rules, like no structures on the beach including chairs & arches, so beach weddings tend to be much smaller than you might normally see in other places.

    And no worries about planning from the UK.  I planned from NY and found many vendors able to work with me via email the majority of the time.
