So...close...to...weekend...

Morning ladies!

Week two has been awesome.  Legs, back, and abs went super well yesterday, and I really pushed myself.  Today is kempo (punching and stuff).  Healthy eating has been going super well, and I'm down almost another pound - yay!

    I had a dissapointing night, went to costco after work with friends to get camping stuff....ended up being there for AGES and didnt get home till after 8pm...by that time all I wanted to do was eat dinner and go to bed....thats what I did...no workout....MUST. GO. TONIGHT.!

  • Swim got cut short by a jerk face at my gym last night who doesnt understand swimming ettiquette. Took me all I had to not absolutely go nuts on him.

    Today elliptical run rather than ground run. I gave myself a charlie horse when I woke up stretching so I'm going to baby it by doing my run on the hated elliptical.

  • I was not feeling the gym yesterday at all so I ended up not going. I think I'm burning myself out with how hard I'm pushing myself...I still made myself do some stretching and 75 minutes on my bike. Tonight I hope to take a nice long walk.

  • I hate waking up with a charlie horse, that's the worst.

    Gym went okay yesterday.  I did 35 minutes on the elliptical and then had to wait around for access to the weight machines.  I went during a crowded time I guess.  I didn't finish my strength training after getting nauseous doing leg presses.  I think I drank too much water too quickly, or my body didn't appreciate being bent like that.  I felt better standing, so I left and did my grocery shopping.  
    Today is a rest day, but I'll be walking around the city running errands later.

  • Way to go girls!  Souptin I can never get out of Costco in less than an hour and less than at least $150.  I have a very love/hate relationship with it!

    This morning we lifted bis & tris, and ran a little longer than usual so only did 20 minutes on the elliptical.  I'm doing pilates at 1 today too.  

    Can Friday get here already???

    This morning I went to spin. I had to leave 15 minutes early because I had an early meeting this morning so that sucked. Ah well. Tomorrow I hope to go with FI to his gym.

  • I made it to the gym last night and ran intervals on the treadmill then did the stairmaster for a bit.  I felt great after my workout because I pushed myself.  I decided that since I have 100 days until the wedding, my short-term goal is to be healthy and exercise consistently for the next 100 days.  I'd like to get at least a half hour workout five days out of the week during this time.  I put the goal on facebook and here now, so that means I'm one step closer to achieving it.  Day 1 of 100 :-)

  • I was able to get in 35 minutes on the elliptical last night and then I had this surprisingly delicious, light chicken carbonara recipe for dinner (http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/asparagus-chicken-carbonara-10000000642259/) I lightened it even more by using whole grain pasta, turkey bacon and less cheese than it called for.

    This morning I did 30DS. I feel like I'm starting to get noticeable definition in my arms.

  • Morning!

    I ended up skipping the gym last night - I had worked out 5 days in a row and needed a little rest!  So I did some serious cleaning for about 2 hrs - actually worked up a sweat doing that!

    I was hoping to make it to lunchtime spin class today but that is not going to happen since my coworker has an appointment to run to at the time - one of us has to be here at all times.  Oh well.  I am going to hit the treadmill from a run before she heads out to her appointment - maybe around 11ish!  Need to get myself back running one or 2 times a week!

    I have never posted on the accountability days but I am glad I checked it out! I do not want to work out this morning. However, after reading these posts I am going to get up off the couch, put my work out clothes on, do my 30 day shred work out, and clean the house lol

    Thanks for the motivation ladies, I needed it!

    Made it to the gym last night and finished a C25K workout. I'm so proud of myself for sticking to it. Also got in some weights and core tranning. Today is rest day as i'm a little sore. Tomorrow is my weigh in day so fingers crossed!
  • K - Awesome! Way to go! That is SO exciting when you break into the next 10! I swear it's a mental thing, getting past the 160.0 to 159.5 is so much harder than getting from 159.5 to 159! I always find that when I move down to that next 10!

    jj - Good for you! I think that you will be so proud of yourself by the end of the program. I was so proud of myself every time I completed a workout! Everytime I did it without having to stop and walk when I was supposed to be running, I always put my hands up in the air like I just won a competition because it felt so good! It's silly, but it's nice to feel proud of yourself.

    Yesterday NO exercise happened. I was the laziest a person could be yesterday. Eating was good, besides the 1/3 of the small bag of popcorn at the movies, but it had no butter and I only ate a 1/3 of the small bag so I don't feel too guilty. Fiber!

    Today, I will be going running because it's one of my best friends' birthday and we're going out for dinner.. to Moxie's. Which posts NONE of their nutritional information, clearly because it's so bad for you. So, I have to run today so that I don't do too much damage tonight (also because I want to run today though).

  • Last night FI wanted to go out for Thai.  I told him the only way we were going was if we walked to the Thai place about 3/4 of a mile from the house.   He agreed.  So I got 1.5 mile walk in after work which helped offset some of the calories from dinner.  

    Today I did a 30 minute weight lifting workout. 

    I'm disappointed that I didnt' manage to bike a single day this week and tomorrow I am on a plane for 10 hours -ugh.   It will defintely be challenging for the next week but I hope to stay on track.

    It's called Moxie's Classic Grill.. it's a delicious restaurant but you may not have it in the States. I live in Alberta so perhaps it's just a Canadian chain!

    I looked up this one dessert in MFP that I used to eat ALL the time at Moxie's, at it's 1500 calories! 1500! I don't know where that person got the information, but after looking I see a few entrees in the MFP database so maybe I'll pick one of the lower ones that's in there. I'm not sure though where people are getting the info because it's not online at all, and I've asked at the restaurant before and they didn't have it available... Oh well!

  • Good job on the P90 Lobsters! Way to stick with it!

    I did a fun outdoor workout earlier with the H. He was super stressed about work with trying to get his business up and running and I said "put on your shoes. Let's go kick the ball around." So we walked across the street to this little tucked away park and did sprint drills, dribble drills and passes, and a circuit where we alternated between drills with the soccer ball and a mix of pushups, squats, situps, and jumping jacks. It was super fun, the weather was great, and we were able to relieve some stress. (Plus I got a slight tan... good thing I wore my running tank!)

  • Going to do a 3 mile run tonight as soon as it gets a little cooler. About 6 or 6:30 so we can have supper about 7. I would go now but I over indulged on my carrots and hummus and am SUPER full!

  • Oh boy, good luck with the healthy eating sarah!  Be sure to ask if they can cook something in a healthier oil (or scrap the oil all together) - you can save a ton of fat and calories that way!

  • Good luck eating out tonight - It is super hard to know what you're getting!  Thank goodness for running!

    I did another swim workout today - about a mile and a quarter again.  I'm ready to increase the amount of swimming...But I just don't love it.  Currently just a means to an end.

    I go back to the doctor on Monday for my 6 week exray, so here's to hoping my bone has healed!!

    Hey Sarah, prior to living in Toronto I spent 4 years in Calgary Alberta -Moxies are EVERYWHERE!  they are just making there way to southern ontario now.
    I used to LOVE the  Chicken vindeloo-and the moxy sized martinis!  Have fun!
