NPR - not period related

I guess the universe has decided that H and I haven't dealt with enough crap.

My sister called at lunch and I knew something was wrong. We never talk.

Mom went to the ER, they found some blockage between her gallbladder and kidney, and what's more concerning, a three inch mass on her pancrease.

She is in sugery now, to insert a stent to alleviate the blockage and to biopsy the mass. Her kidney enzymes are elevated and her gall bladder is slighting enlarged, but they aren't overly concerned about. The doc actually said it is a good thing, because it led to the detection of the mass

When I asked when the results of the biopsy would be in, my sister said she thought "pretty instantaneously." I'm sorry, but she's a fuckingidiot. It has to go to a lab, reports have to be written and sent back, etc. I hate hate hate that my stupid sister (really, she is stupid when it comes to medical stuff) is the one who is there and not me, and I am especially upset that I am reliant upon her for information.

I am trying not to worry until there is something to worry about. But fuckme. Really? I am mostly concerned for my youngest sister and how she is going to take all of this. She is 21 and shouldn't have to deal with this crap.

fuckfuckfuck

I've explicitly asked my mom to put me in charge of her medical decision making, if she ever isn't in the position to be making decisions herself. She wants everything to be equal, so she won't put any one of us in charge of anything.

Fine, mom. Play Russion roulette and let middle sister make decisions because of her proximity, rather than base that decision on actual intellegence and knowledge of general medicine.

I asked if they had tested her kidney functioning, and sister said, "I think do." No, she would know if they had done that. They probably just looked at different things in her urine.

Thanks for listening to me, guys.

You want me to go up and junkpunch sister? I can do that for you, and then she'll also be incapacitated (I punch hard especially now that I have a metal brace holding my thumb in place) so someone else will have to make decisions.

TPs and hugs to you and the family.
