in Wedding Woes
(that was given to me) of old-skool BH&G cookbooks. You know the kind - weenies as an entree, lots of radish garnishes, everything's got gravy. (My favorite is the "Make Now Serve Later" cookbook that has some chicken/bread entree on the cover that looks like someone either covered it with cake glaze... or jizz.)

I've been thinking about actually making the recipes - complete w/ garnishes and presentations - and taking pictures of it.

Thoughts?

    you should.

    i have a 1972 betty crocker recipe set, but i am scared to cook from it.  it has a section for "manly meals" and many of the cocktails involve chicken or beef broth.

    I have a reprint of an old cookbook called "Cakes Men Like"-its hilarious. It specifies which brands of stuff you should use because inferior brands will make your husband sad.

    i also have an old betty crocker book, "food from foreign lands."  spaghetti and meatballs is listed.

    I changed my mind! My favorite is a Holiday Cooking book from 1959 that featured "Foreign Fare" - one of which was a Mexican/Indian (not Native American) fusion. 

    And did you know that Beef Stroganoff is considered "Elegant fare"?

    I think I will do this.
