Ana's MIA Veil Issue - Update

Hi Ladies,
First off, a huge thank you to all of you for your care and support in my previous posts. It helps to know that you girls have my back! :-)
I went to Ana's last night for my final fitting and she promised my correct veile was in. I went in apprehensive still. She opens the back and it was the same exact veil she had incorrectly ordered the previous time, but in ivory!!! The trim was that thin satin cord, not the 1/2 inch satin ribbon we had paid for. I almost lost it, seriously. My body tensed up, I was on the verge of tears and so far nothing in this wedding planning has gotten me to that point. I was furious. Since I was unable to speak, my mom described the trim. Ana goes and bring back another veil. Slightly wider, but this aweful rubbery material; definitely not satin. Ana is standing there telling us they don't make it any wider than that. And I start doubting my memory! Was I remembering it incorrectly? Was Mom, too? Then it dawns on Ana that she might have something wider, and bring back a cathedral length veil in exactly the border we wanted. She apprehensively says she can alter it to be fingertip, like I ordered. Since with 5 days to go she can't order me a new one, that's what we're doing.
I'm really thankful it's resolved and over with. What I didn't like this time was she never apologized for the confusion and she made us feel like she was doing us a favor! She ordered the wrong veil TWICE and it's somehow our fault. But, at least she's making it right, right? God help me if she tries to charge us for those alterations....
Sorry this is so long, ladies! I just wanted to keep you up to speed, and thank you again for your support! In happy news, my dress is perfect, and she's had to take it in almost 2 whole inches! :-)

Oh no! I'm soooo sorry. I am glad she can alter the one she has, I wish she did this for you from the beginning of this mess!

wow, I can't believe she didn't apologize for ordering the wrong veil again. But I am glad that the matter is resolved. Its just unfortunate that this is causing you so much unnecessary stress. I hope everything turns out great on the big day though. Best wishes!

I posted the below under your response to some recent vendor review and was hoping you saw it....I know that all of us on here are collectively sending you great vibes and I hope some of the below can help:

Just know that regardless, you are going to be a beautiful bride and your day will be perfect.  Two things that might help:

I know it seems a little sketchy but I just got my veil from there on a whim (our wedding is in May but I am flying back East tomorrow for our first and only trip until the week before the wedding and wanted a veil to match against my dress).  For $30.99 with free shipping it came in 2 days and I LOVE IT.  Seriously.  It's so pretty in person.  Just a thought for a back-up in case?  (I posted this a few days ago so it might be tight with the wedding this weekend, however I believe they ship from NYC so maybe they could work something out for you?  When I searched "ribbon" on their site, it came up with these:
    http://stores.ebay.com/Venus-Veils/_i.html?rt=nc&_nkw=ribbon&_sid=649752924&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1513&_pgn=1
2)If you have Netflix, watch the wedding episode of "The Office" where Pam rips her veil.  It will make you smile.  Of course after months and months and months, and lots of money, spent planning this thing, you want every single detail to be perfect.  But the most important detail is that person who will be waiting for you at the end of the aisle.  And he is going to think you look perfect no matter what.  Easier advice to type than take as I am sure I would be freaking out, but try not to let it ruin your week leading up to the big day and know that everyone on here is sending you collective good vibes for a happy outcome with your veil! : )
    Good luck!!!

dberrett - how did the whole veil issue end up?  Hopefully everything went well with the veil they made and the wedding!!  Can't wait to see vendor reviews!
