Rehearsal Dinner Suggestions???

Hi Ladies!

Any suggestions on Rehearsal Dinner locations??? Our wedding is at the Desert Botanical Garden (SOOOO excited!) in March.

We prefer a place in Scottsdale or Tempe...where we live and play :) And where the hotel accomodations will be.

We want a local restaurant with a Southwest feel for about 40 people. Some places we are considering:

- Old Town Tortilla Factory
- House of Tricks
- Joe's BBQ. Is this too informal? (my vote... not Fiance's :P)
- Cantina Loredo

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

Your RD can be as casual or as formal as you want it, so I don't think BBQ would be too informal.  I would just make sure everyone knows the tone beforehand.  =)

My vote would be for BBQ, but that's more of a personal preference.  LOL

I'm happy to see another March bride!  =)

The botanical gardens are awesome....  really beautiful location for an event.

There is Buca di Beppo in old town which would be fun and they have separate rooms for you too.  I went to a private party there and had tons of fun and the service was great.  It could be formal like you're wanting.

What about Monty's La Casa Vieja on Mill Ave? Aunt Chilada's on Baseline and I-10? We're having our rehearsal dinner at Serrano's Mexican Restaurant in Chandler.

I know this may seem too far since its not in Scottsdale or Tempe, but the Old Spaghetti Factory just opened at the Chandler Mall. The meals are always amazing, but not breaking the bank either. Also there are tons of hotels in that area that you can easily get accommodations for. My family staid at the Windmill Inns and Suites, they really loved it there. They had actual suites, and a complimentary breakfast. Plus with the mall within walking distance our family had enough entertainment to keep them busy while I was trying to finalize everything for the wedding.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Joe's BBQ and it was great! We got rave reviews about it. To this day, nearly three years later, every time I see one of our family friends, he always brings up how awesome Joe's was! lol!

PS- The Serrano's in Chandler is also a great choice...we had our wedding reception there. Again, great food at a great price!

Thank you all for your suggestions!! I will be looking in all of them.
Monti's would be great since we live walking distance from it and the hotel accomodations will be at the Hyatt Place in Tempe.
I would love to have the rehearsal at Joe's BBQ or Serrano's. My fiance's family has been going to Serrano's & Matta's since they opened years ago, so it would be meaningful to do Serrano's :)
