I'm going to be hauling all of my American Sign Language students 6 hours away today to visit a deaf residential school. My students will be learning the history of deaf education, taking a tour, and watch a play performed in American Sign Language. It'll be a wonderful experience for them. But it's going to be a loooonnggg day on the road! We're coming back home tonight too!
I did this last year too. I'm a bit excited and nervous going back to where I graduated from.
Ahhh here we go!!!!

I hope you had a great day!!!
[QUOTE]Good luck! I remember doing that when I took ASL too. It was a lot of fun and a very good experience, so I am sure your students will have a wonderful time! Are you going to the MN State Acadamy for the Deaf in Fairbault? Are there any other deaf schools in MN?

Yep that's where we went!! We also have one more deaf school, but it's not residental like MSAD. It's Metro Deaf School in Saint Paul. Then the rest of schools either have a deaf/hard of hearing program or don't have one.
The field trip went great. I didn't get home until 2 AM! A student threw up on the bus (I have a severe phobia of vomit), but other than that we all had fun!
