Am I wrong to get aggravated over this? (short vent)

Shouldn't people on the guest list notify us if they have moved since receiving the STD? I received the invite back in the mail and FI emailed his friend to verify the address. It's completely different! (There was another one that was my mistake. His friend's apt # is 6D, and I had 60 on the invite. Whoops)

So now I have to spend more money on postage because he didn't have the common courtesy to give us a heads up that he was moving. Is it really that hard to shoot someone an email, "Hey man, I'm moving. Here's my new address..." I mean, in the grand scheme of things, it's NBD, but it just pissed me off yesterday for some reason. Sorry, just needed to vent LOL

I understand where you are coming from. We had some people move since the STDs but we knew they moved so we reached out to them for their new address. I don't think everyone really thinks about updating their address for your wedding invite (especially guys).

It's irritating, but NBD. I think everything becomes a huge deal to us because of the mounting stress. I'm guilty. Like PP said, it was probably the last thing on their mind. I don't even know if I'd remember that myself.

My invites are going out today & fortunately I have extra envelopes for exactly such examples. I actually have one of my dad's cousins that I still don't know the address for. The address I was given is apparently incorrect because my STD was bounced back & my dad has yet to find out the real one. He's the one who wants him invited. So, if he can't get the address...he's not invited. Oh well.

I know it is annoying, but it is Minor Details.

My post office decided to stop my mail (my own fault for not checking my mail)....with a "No forward address"...just when I was sending out my Invites, and they have not returned my mail service..even after several attempts to restart it. The RSVP is my parents house so I'm not worried about that....but the return address is my apartment.

Pain in the butt? Yes.

I had this happen to us with 4 people -2 I thought of and reached out myself and two had gone from living at home to getting their own place so their parents sent it to them. At the end of the day it's like an extra 50 cents - I would try not to let something that minor get to you

Yea, I know it's NBD, so I won't let it get to me. I think with everything going on, it just got to me yesterday. It didn't help that my kids practically got into a fist fight with each other over a few stupid toys. I think I was just at my boiling point yesterday. I just hope I don't get too many more back, since I don't have that many extra envelopes left over. I'm gonna have to go to a card store soon and steal some envelopes or something lol

I totally understand. Every little thing makes me flustered these days. I'm still stressing over the fact that one of my bridesmaids doesn't have a dress. She doesn't even know what dress she's going to buy. I'm really trying not to think about it...

Can see where this was aggravating. If you need extra envelopes perhaps you can get some blank ones from a stationer or wherever you got your invitations from, and if you had your return address printed on the flap just print out clear labels to put your return address on the back -- not quite as pretty but still better than a lot of the alternatives.

I had this happen with several invites. The most annoying part was I went back and confirmed all of the addresses to see if people moved before I sent them out, got new ones,and still had some returned. It was a pain, but it's done with now.
