Bachelorette Party Ideas (a little long)

So, my MOH wants to make my bachelorette party a surprise, but one of my other BMs is concerned about what she wants to do so she let me in on it. She's planning on doing midnight laser tag, and while I think it would be awesome, I don't think all of my BMs will be up for it. (One is 7 months pregnant!)

So, I need some suggestions. Again, one BM is pregnant, and two others are under age. We also need something that won't break the bank.

And is the bachelorette party only for the bridal party or can I invite other friends to?

TIA!

Absolutely you can invite other friends!  Just make sure they are invited to the wedding as well.

Have you thought of going to a dance club, one that is 17 to enter, and dancing the night away?  I went to one back in September, and it was a blast!  They had the bar for those who wanted it, and the MOH had called ahead and gotten us 'VIP' seating (basically the only tables in the house), which would give the pregnant BM a place to sit (the tables were right next to the dance floor).

A couple other options would be a spa day (everyone loves that type of thing!).  Also, there is a Brownie Store somewhere that I have heard of that does bachelorette parties- maybe someone else knows the name of the store I am talking about; I think it's 123Brownies, but I am probably wrong.

Is there something crafty that you like to do-sewing, scrapbooking, jewelry making, even glass painting?  Maybe think about taking a class together, and pairing it with a nice dinner at a restaurant?  I know Joann's offers classes, and I know Sparkles on Kirkwood Highway offers Jewelry Making classes.

Is there something else, a hobby or something that you like?  In Arden, PA, there is a dinner theater- not as classy as Three Little Bakers from what I have heard, but nice none the less.  It's called New Candlelight Theatre.  Or how about a day trip to NYC to see a show?  If you are into sports, what about a minor league event (like the Phantoms instead of the Flyers)?  What about all of you going to one of those make-the-dinner-there-freeze-it-serve-it-at-home places?  Super Suppers is across from the hospital, and from what I have heard, when you get a bunch of girls together, it's an absolute blast (I believe they provide snacks and drinks, including wine, but you might want to check on that).  Or what about Cosmic Bowling?  That's always fun!

Think about what you enjoy (it is about you, after all, though I suggest trying to keep the prices down for your girls as they have already shelled out a bunch of money), and go from there.  If you post here what you enjoy, what you like, hobbies, etc (think outside the box!), and I am sure the girls on here could come up with something!

btw, the super suppers across from the hospital closed last year.  The on one Rt. 202 and Silverside road is still open.  I love going there!  the parmesan chicken with creamy sage sauce is my fave.

My BM's took me to a murder mystery dinner theater in Philly for my bach-party.  It's called Bistro Romano, near South Street, and they did CLUE.  It was cool, the food was good, and it was very funny, especially since I picked the correct "killer".

Are your underage attendees just not legal to drink, or are they kids (under 18)?  If everyone is an adult, you could go to a pole dancing class!  Some places allow you to bring liquor if some of you want it, and I'm sure your pregnant BM will be plenty entertained just watching... or she can do some of the less risky moves.  There are places in philly that will do private classes for just your group.  You could plan a dinner at a restaurant or comedy club just before/after.

I have a friend who had an underage BM and we just all went to a nice dinner, then we went out without the one BM.  I know she was not happy that she couldnt go, but I dont think she was bitter because she didnt want to ruin the night by making everyone accommodate just her.

Thank you for all of the suggestions ladies!

All of the BMs and I had a brainstorming session this morning, and we've decided to spend the day at the King of Prussia mall doing a video scavenger hunt fallowed by dinner at Cheesecake Factory. I think it's going to be a blast!

I know it's a little late, but throwing the idea out there anyway, for others to think about:

What about going to Everyday Artists (in Hockessin) or Painted Platypus (in Newark), and doing a paint your own pottery party?  I know Everyday Artists does parties like that, and they have a really cool serving tray that has tile inserts, and everyone does a tile, and they put the tray together for you.  I love going there (and I know Lura does too hehe), and it's something for all ages, even the little ones if you wanted to include them!

Just another idea, if anyone else needs some brainstorming!
