I realize that my morning email check, even on the east coast, is as most of you are trickling into work for your knotting sessions, but since I can't use TK at work, I thought I would say good morning and best wishes to all of you for day! Plus, I wanted to voice a little support for the community catch up thread we're working on.

Docta -- I want to hear how it went yesterday when I come home from work!

Meg -- 2 days?!? The Thursday before was my craziest day. Take a deep breath and enjoy it! If we do or don't see you before the wedding, I am excited and praying for you!

9th graders -- watch out! We're talking sentence fragments today!!

    Two days in a row we've had simultaneous threads, lol!  Since I think Bibli P&R, if you're still here Calypso, I can close your thread if you re-post your stuff here.  I don't understand why we can't move posts in this place!

    And yes, my screenname is now more relevant (Thanks for the T&Ps by the way!) :).

    It's Thursday!  I miss when all the good TV was on Thursdays.  Remember must-see-TV in the early 2000's?  *Sigh*

    I just got back from a run, but I can feel that today things are going to start getting crazy.  People are really arriving now, I need to go by the venue, and I am getting so excited I can't sleep!

    I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers of the ladies on this board!  Have a great weekend, everyone, if I don't make it back for a bit!

    Yay congrats Docta and Meg on the life milestones happening!!!!
    The pollen count is really high so I feel like I have a railroad spike going through my forehead right now.  Stupid allergies.

    Meg, that's great that you were able to get a run in...I know they always  help me when I'm stressed out, plus its some alone time with God ;)  Good luck, I know everything will go great...slow down and have a blast! :o)

    Chelsea that stinks, I loathe allergies... they make everything miserable :(

    Ahhhh Meg, that's SOOOO exciting!  It makes me get all excited/nervous just thinking about it!  I hope you're able to take in all the little moments and enjoy the whole experience of your wedding weekend!

    And docta -- wow!  How relieved do you feel today?  You must feel like a new woman!

    Chels -- I also have allergies this week!  I was dog-watching this week and taking her for walks was brutal.  I could feel my poor, defenseless sinuses being attacked!

    chelsea - im going to be in milwaukee next month, staying downtown.  what's a must-see attraction?  also, what will the weather (temps) be like at that time?

    Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well I don't live in Milwaukee (TK defaults to that if you live in WI haha).  Weather could be snow, could be 80 degrees haha.  Normally Sept is mid 60s-ish.  I'd go to the zoo.. it's fun :)  Depends on what you like to do though, I wouldn't be the best guide because I don't go there often haha

    Congrats, Doctor docta!  It must be nice not having to worry about that anymore!  Woot!

    Meg, I hope your day goes wonderfully!  I'm excited and nervous for you, so now you don't have to worry as much.  (That's how math works, right?)

    On a side note, my allergies are awful right now, too.  I think we should start a club.

    Haha, no, it was exactly like I expected it to be.  Most of the discussion revolved around a couple things we're still trying to figure out how to explain for the sake of publications.  I'm just doing what I can do for the next week, and then I'm off to my big kid job!

    Great big congratulations, Docta!!!! Gosh, I remember so well how wonderful that felt...my grandfather passed away the weekend before my defense, so the night before, I was flying back home from Texas. I couldn't postpone it again because I had had to replace two committee members when one left the school and then another one left (can't remember why), and it was a nightmare trying to get everyone scheduled. Plus I was just about out of time if I wanted to graduate in May!

    After my defense, I went outside while they met, then came back in and they said they wanted me to run some additional analyses, and I wasn't sure what that meant! Then my toughest, scariest committee member said: "You notice we're signing...you passed." It was a huge relief!

    So congrats!!!!!! Enjoy it, celebrate!
