West Valley Venue

I've decided that step two for planning this wedding (after getting a rough guest count) is figuring out where to have it - and I seem to be hitting a bit of a dead end. I'm getting married in the summer (of 2011), so I need an inside venue. The vast majority of the places to have the ceremony and/or reception seem to be in the east valley (Mesa in particular, for whatever reason), and I'm having a hard time finding a place on this side of town; I'll go over to the east valley if I need to, but I would really rather find a place over here if for no reason other than so it doesn't take an hour+ to look at the location...

So, to put an end to my long-windedness, does anyone have any suggestions for an inside venue (preferably both ceremony and reception) in the west valley? It looks like we'll have about 50 people there, so I think that a hotel reception area would probably be way too big...

The only one that I really know about is Aldea. I've never been there myself, and I don't know anything about it other than its location.

You could also check out some of the more intimate Scottsdale resorts on Camelback.  They are pretty pricey though.

There is a golf course that my photog told me about, BlackStone, that is really nice.  I think it is in Peoria.  No idea about the prices, but I remember when I was looking at golf courses she told me about it.

Try Dillons catering. They rent out a couple different ballroom type venues in Sun City. I'm not sure if that limits your catering choices though (it probably does) They are doing our catering but we chose a different venue that was outdoors.  Good luck!

Aldea is nice but the ceremony area is outside.

I haven't been to Blackstone- but it is definitely West Valley (it's by Lake Pleasant).  ALso over there is another country club at Vistancia.  My cousin is getting married there in March and it's really pretty.  I bet they have an indoor area to get married.

Sorry- can't really think of anything else right now.

The Manor at Catlin Court in Glendale is adorable and perfect for smaller weddings!

I second the Manor... I'm getting there this October, I love the intimate feel. They have an area downstairs where you can do a ceremony, or do both the ceremony and reception upstairs. I also know that they have summer specials...

I'm glad to see that people seem to like the Manor; I went there last night to check it out, and am seriously considering it. Are there any concerns that you've had with it that might not be readily apparent?

The manor is beautiful, has anyone actually gotten married there?
