Reception music poll (XP)

We're meeting with our DJ tomorrow night, so I have to figure out some music suggestions!  I'm sure he'll pick good music, but I'd love to give him a list of stuff we know are fun for weddings. 

So, a poll:

1)  what is your favorite song to dance to at a wedding (as a guest)?

2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)?

3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song?

4)  what was your first dance song?

    1)  what is your favorite song to dance to at a wedding (as a guest)?  Single ladies!  Or sexyback

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)? Wonderful Tonight

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song? not married yet - undecided

    4)  what was your first dance song? Then - Brad Paisley

    1)  what is your favorite song to dance to at a wedding (as a guest)? anything I can sing loud and drunkenly, usually "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)? Anything Michael Buble or classic Sinatra. 

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song? Music from Ghostbusters and Star Wars

    4)  what was your first dance song? "Something" The Beatles

    your DJ should hopefully have suggestions / tips for you, but here are some thoughts:

    1)  what is your favorite song to dance to at a wedding (as a guest)?  I know a lot of brides are anti line dance, but to be honest, the most people made a beeline for the dance floor for the electric slide and the cha cha slide

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)?  not sure I have one

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song?  getting jiggy with it

    4)  what was your first dance song?  everything - michael buble

    Billy Jean and I'm a total cheeseball but I love the Shout! song.  And You Shook Me All Night Long.

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)?
    I generally like fast music, but we had You and Me by DMB as our last dance bc I liked the lyrics.

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song?
    Parents- Dirty Water, BP- I Got It From My Mama and Welcome to the Jungle, Us- Welcome to the Good Life

    4)  what was your first dance song?
    Turn Me On (from Love, Actually)

    Who are you using as your DJ? I'm having a difficult time finding one I like, or I just don't know the best guys around.

    I pretty much like anything, but ones that stick out in my mind are Signed, Sealed, Delivered, Sweet Home Alabama, Footloose, and lately Lady Gaga :)

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)?  Wonderful Tonight or The Way You Look Tonight

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song?
    Bridal Party - Say Hey (I Love You) by Michael Franti
    Us - Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder

    4)  what was your first dance song?
    Come Away With Me - Norah Jones

    1)  what is your favorite song to dance to at a wedding (as a guest)?  Don't stop believing by Journey

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)?  The way you look tonight by Frank Sinatra

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song?  We're using the theme from Superman (Christopher Reeve version)

    4)  what was your first dance song? You are the best thing by Ray Lamontagne

    Anything fast-pop/dance music-Madonna, Katy Perry etc.

    2)  what is your favorite slow dance song (as a guest)?I'm not really a slow dance person, I had my DJ put very little of those songs in.

    3)  what did you use for your reception entrance song? Thunder struck-ACDC

    4)  what was your first dance song- We started with-when a man loves a woman-brian adams- then broke into-Do you love me-now that I can dance-we took lessons and danced to that song for about a minute or two then went back to Brian Adams song.

    This is really a great time for you to have fun and do what you want. If you like to be different go ahead and  have fun with the music!

    I used Curtis Knight from Billerica. I had Curtis Knight and Anna. What a team! They are wonderful. My guests and we never sat down. They are fun and they listen to your needs. Check out his website. They meet with you to get to know you and I can highly recommend them to you. You will not be disappointed.
