Alfred Angelo- Beware!

I bought my bridesmaid dress for Alfred Angelo.  When my bridemaid and I were present they did not have exact size in stock but took measurements.  They made a size recommendation based on her measurements which was 2-3 sizes TOO BIG!  Their response was that it was my decision to follow their recommendation and they are not responsible. This is very upsetting especially when my wedding is less than 2 months away.  If you find yourself having to rely on their recommendations, be cautious!

Was this the one in Springfield?  I've picked out a couple dresses from the website but haven't made it out there to try them yet.

I didnt get my dress there (AA near Springfield Mall), but my bridesmaids and flower girl ordered their dresses from this store and none had any problems.  One needed no alterations, one went into it knowing that she would need alterations, and the flower girl just needed the dress shortened.

I have read that many dress stores order larger sizes on purpose, so that they make the money in alterating the dress that was ordered too large.  I have been in 5 weddings and had to get all but 1 altered a good bit, so I believe it to be true.

I purchased the dress from the one in Glen Burnie.  I can certainly believe that this may be a money making scam....very unethical.

I got married in Pittsburgh but bought my dress and BM dresses at the Alfred Angelo in Springfield. Their store is clean and we got great service. I'd recommend them to anyone.
