    these are my shoes:

no idea if they are comfortable- i'm bringing flip flops to the reception just in case I can't stand it.

well I know my shoes are going to be green and will have a 2 1/2 inch heel or lower, mainly because my FI is only three inches taller than me and though I am not afraid of rocking some major heels I think it would just look better for pictures and later dancing.

haha sad I know what my shoes will be but not where my reception will be.

the purple pair--so far those are the shoes I have--I really don't feel super comfortable in them though-I really much rather have something that has a strap around my ankle for added support.

I'm leaning towards these right now because they have a 1.5" fat heel that I think will be comfortable. I don't want something I will have to take off and I NEVER wear heels.

Here are my shoes! My Fi is only a little bitt taller then me,so I opted for these.

i think colored shoes are fun and def work but its up to you. Its one of those things that you can do whatever you want and no one will say anything! I love all of the shoes shown above!

lovetothinkpink- I love those flats! I might need them to change into for the reception, only problem is FI is 6'4" and I'm 5'3". Where did you find those flats?

My wedding shoes were Meredith by Touch Ups. They were super comfy except about halfway through the reception the ankle strap started hurting from rubbing the skin wrong. If I'd thought to put those little BandAid blister preventers in my Emergency Kit all would have been well :)

I wore these for my shower and my TTD. They were super cute but SUPER uncomfortable, both in the strap, heel height, and toe straps :( Beauty is pain, I guess! I got them from DSW.

And these were my favorite shoes of the three. They're Vasek by Nina and I wish they'd made them in White and Silver before I bought my Merediths because I totally would have worn these on the wedding day. But since they didn't come out with the white until right before I got married, I wore them in black for my rehearsal dinner. Super comfy, especially for being so strappy - I still wear these every chance I get. (I exchanged the ones in the picture for half a size smaller so there isn't as much of a lip outside of my toes.)

I happen to have a small obsession with shoes -- I hope this isn't overkill in your shoe request :)

To answer your color question, my colors were celadon, white, and gold. I would have rocked gold shoes if my dress hadn't had pewter accents and I never found a pair of celadon shoes that I liked, though I wouldn't have been opposed to it if I had. However, since my colors included white, I did in fact wear one of my wedding colors :) I wore the pink shoes for my TTD because DH refused to have pink anywhere in the wedding, even though I would have loved to; since I couldn't rock them on the wedding day I wore them for my TTD and made my bouquet to match them!

I love this post!  For some reason shoes is what I have been thinking the most about lately, even though I have many other things to plan.  I love all of the shoes here!  My dress is ivory but I am thinking of going with purple shoes (my wedding color).  I am just concerned that I will not find anything I like.  I am worried about ordering online because I would be unable to test out the comfort factor.

These are mine!  I was going to get plum shoes, but couldn't find any that I liked that didn't make me too tall. :)

maggie I am not sure but I know those come in colors, check if they come in purple. not sure if they do just know they come in green because I am looking at getting them.

As for colored shoes I think they are awesome. white/ivory shoes are pretty but don't you want to wear your wedding shoes other than your wedding plus they look fab. in pictures.

I say just keep hunting as shoes styles change and more come out. there are so many sites and stores that I am sure there is the right shade and style out there just might take time finding them.

Seeing other girls shoes on their blogs are awesome and beautiful ddd

mlharbis - those shoes rock, I saw them before somewhere for someone else;s wedding actually. think it was on tv.  Have you not tried them on, how do you not know if they are not comfortable or not?

irisheyez, I think you are right.  The other challenge was that I was trying to use my Macy's gift cards to cover the cost of the shoes and unfortunately they didn't have those in purple. :(

I wore these. DH is only like an inch taller than I am, so I wore flats. Plus, I knew I was going to be walking around downtown for a bit for photos, so they are more comfortable than my normal heels.

Oh, and please excuse the dark OOF pictures. They're way more sparkly than they look in the picture.  :)

iris- I have the shoes and have tried them on and they fit well. I have only worn them around my house for my dress fitting (like 30 mins) and they were fine for that. Something may be super comfortable but after a whole day your feet will still hurt.
