Cake

We have tried several bakers, but nothing that has really caught my taste buds. Any suggestions?

We absolutely love Michelles Patisserie. Hopefully we can get our day.  i also hear great things about Simon Lee.

I understand where you are coming with Blue Note. The owner is fantastic; the gluten free and carrot cakes are amazing but all the rest is just average. Good luck.

We are going with cupcakes from Hill Country Cupcake. If that's your thing or might be, i thought they were delicious. Very moist and lots of flavors.

We actually ended up going non-traditional and are doing cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes.  Of all of the cake we tried, it was the most moist with the perfect level of sweetness.  I thought the other wedding cakes we tried was either dry or so sweet my teeth were going to fall out!  You might check into them if you're looking for something a little different.  We're having one tiered cake and then a few 'satelite' cakes & will end up with 6 different flavors this way! I'm so excited and can't wait for the cake! They make their own frosting & cakes fresh (i.e. not from a box & never frozen) and are so delicious.  I'm lucky they aren't closer to my house or I'd really be in trouble :)

We are going with Kimberly's Kakery. She is actually a former Knottie and now Nestie and it SO talented. We did a tasting with her and it was so yummy!! Her prices are the most reasonable I found and I loved helping out an individually owned business!

You could page her on the Austin Nestie board under LonghornBabe or I can give you her email address. Here is her blog:
