Question about invites/RSVP's

I have a question. I haven't sent out my invities yet, but I have a couple of families I will be inviting. How will I know how many people from the family are attending? I will need a # since my venue is small. I will have room for everyone, but when people RSVP do they typically put a number?

Re: Question about invites/RSVP's

  • You would address the invite like this; you dictate how many people you would like to invite by how you address the invite:
    Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jones
    Davey Jones
    Kim Jones
(the kids list if they are under 18)
If the kids are over 18, they should receive their own invitation

RSVP (there are variations of this):
A favour of a reply is request by DATE:
M________________ (the line where the guest puts their names, so in the above example, if all four people were attending they should write: Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Davey Jones, Kim Jones)
Then, depending on how you're reception is (ie plated, buffet, etc.) you would do something like this:
    Please intial entree choice
____ Chicken (on these lines each guest would indicate their entree selection)
    ____ Beef

If you're doing a buffett you wouldn't have to do that entree choice thing.
