Narrowed Down my venues

Ladies...

so I have been searching high and low for venues for the past 2 weeks dragging my fiance around kicking and screaming.  he was ready to book the first place we walked into just not to go to any other places but I dragged him around and I think that we, well actually, I, finally have narrowed it 2 places.  The Royal Manor and The Elan.  I have searched posts on the board and really havent found much on either so I was wondering if anyone has attended wedding at either place as a guest or has gotten married at either location.  I have to say that both venues had some really great features as well as some negatives.  The Elan has a great wedding package that includes a dj and supposely he has a great reputation plus it is really nice inside and both times I visited I met with Lisa who was wonderful.  I have some concerns that they are so new.  The Royal manor was great all around and the pricing was comparable except for the DJ portion which could be a huge savings. 

any one have any input?

    We're getting married at the Royal Manor.  The place is beautiful, price wasn't too high (getting married on a saturday afternoon).  We worked with Jerry.   There are some affordable DJs in NJ.

    We saw the Royal manor when we were looking and liked them as well.  the only thing we didnt like was that there would be another wedding next to us.  If that wasnt a factor, we would have booked there.
    sorry cant commend on the Elan.

    I have a co-worker who got married at the Royal Manor and she loved every minute of it. I'm not crazy about the layout of either place, personally.

    If the Elan's DJ is DJ Express, you're in fantastic hands! I went to school with the owner and they are AWESOME Dj's.

    The Elan does guaruntee us that we would be the only wedding at the hall on the night of our event which is another huge plus compared to the Royal Manor.  We actually scheduled a tasting at The Elan next week.  I will let you all know how it goes.

    The DJ is DJ Express and I am glad you had great things to say about them.  They should be at our tasting next week as well so that we can chat with them and see whats included.  Everything I have read about them is very positive.

    Thank you for all the feedback.  I will update everyone once I get closer to making my decision.
