Metallic on Metallic invites

I am assembling my own invitations from Cards & Pockets card stock.  I picked a metallic purple pocketfold and was going to lay a metallic gold mat over that, finally topping it with a flat ivory cardstock that had the invitation printed on it. 

THEN I found a metallic ivory that I liked better than the flat.  Question:  Is it too much shine to have metallic on metallic on metallic??  Do I need to pick a flat cardstock to mix in to balance it out?

    That's probably fine. Can you get samples and see how it will all look printed before you order? 

    I've made countless wedding invites using all metallic papers, and depending on the combination of papers/colors it can be a bit much, but often the all-metallic look is okay.
