    They gave us an ice cream social yesterday, and pancake breakfast tomorrow (admin is cooking).
    Oh, and they forwarded us the DOE email with all the teacher specials and discount in the area... including a special rate at the Gaylord Palms! That's were I wanted to spend our wedding night, but it was over my budget. So I'm feeling really appreciated right now :D

    Our PTA provided lunch from Sweet Tomatoes yesterday. Our Hospitatlity committee(which I'm a member of) gave away chick fil a coupons :P. I have heard that our lunch room is providing some sort of complimentary lunch tomorrow.

    Aside from that... I appreciated myself on monday by going to Tijuana Flats for dinner :P

    Thank you. I got nothing. I don't think one single student has any idea that it is teacher appreciation week.  I definitely have not been appreciated.  Not even by the PTA or administration.  I think we get free lunch at the school cafeteria tomorrow if we want.  Woo.

    Yeah, my kids have no idea, even though it is mentioned on the "school news" every morning and the newsletter that went home tuesday also had it on there.

    I didn't expect anything though because I teach at a title 1 school. Lunch yesterday was yummy though!

    Yea...this was ridiculous...

    We got a tote bag that says TEAM (Together we achieve more) from admin, then they had the nerve to postpone our teacher appreciate lunch to the end of the school year (when we were going to have one anyway...) oh and then we had to watch a 40 minute video about the gates grant, and then we got ice cream...seriously?! Ugh!

    But everyday the sunshine committe has provided us with something cute. Monday was M&Ms for being magnificent and marvelous, yesterday was Soda..."soda you dont forget how amazing you are" and today was pudding "thank you for pudding forth so much effort" etc.

    Lol. I work in Osceola, but most of the appreciation was in-house. BETA Club and SGA did the breakfast this morning; it was cute watching the kids cook and serve: they were so proud of themselves.

    As for the discounts, those are available to all Florida teachers; they are all listed on the DOE site.

    cjbwifey, I'm pretty sure we got those bags last year!!  haha!!

    My school has been pretty good.  They had breakfast for us on Monday, pizza on Tuesday, something yesterday, I'm not sure because I was testing all day and couldn't get up there.. Ice cream floats today, and subs tomorrow.  And we got a calendar as our gift.  I guess I lucked out on that one!
