I went shopping with my grandma in January, and ended up purchasing an Allure bridals dress she really loved we'd been close all my life, she was all excited, and I was sick of feeling more fat and unhappy with every illfitting dress I put on my body, so I bought it assuming The Dress didn't exist for me.
I went into the shop yesterday to order my veil, and while wandering the store, I see The Dress and its the same line, so it exists in my size. And now I feel heartbroken that I spent all that money on something I don't love when I could have had a dress I wanted. I realize there is nothing I can do about it now, but I just needed to vent.

I feel like I'm counting down the minutes until I marry my best friend
Re: Dress sad.
Sell the dress you bought on recycledbride.com, oncewed.com or preownedweddingdresses.com and buy your dream dress, if you can afford it. If you only very recently ordered your dress, you might be able to transfer your deposit to the other dress. talk to the salon.

Went to the salon today and was told that my dress is already in production. They were willing to try to help in that they sold the sample dress for the one I purchased, so if by some miracle, I were to be able to fit into the sample dress at the store that I fell in love with, they'd be willing to trade with me and just have me pay the difference. However, that's dropping from a 26 to either a 22 or 20, so I feel like that's HIGHLY unlikely to happen in a way that healthy, but who knows, maybe my body will start cooperating.
That says - I'm going to start checking the used sites you guys suggested above OBSESSIVELY, maybe in the next 90 days someone will post one around the same size
Thank you all again for the suggestions and letting me vent, hopefully it'll get me towards finding the dress in my size and having it for the ceremony. If not - my gran will be happy with the dress I'm wearing, it will mean a lot to her, and it still is a beautfiul dress - and I'll still be getting to marry my soulmate, so I will deal.
