Just warning all you brides out there! I booked a band through Boston Event Works and just found out 2 months before my wedding that we were 'double booked' even though we booked a year in advance! And now we don't have a band for our wedding! Turns out that the band we had put down a deposit for broke away from Boston Event Works (but they were still supposed to play at our wedding anyway) and the companies secretary NEVER SENT THE BAND OUR DEPOSIT!!!!!! The band didn't even know that they were supposed to be doing our wedding because of this secrectary's mistake!

To top it off.. the lady that we booked through emailed my Mom with 3 other crappy bands and offered them to us at the same rate as the original band!!! Didn't even offer us a discounted rate even though THEY made the mistake and those 3 bands weren't anywhere near as good as the oringal band.

Just thought I'd give you all a heads up!!!

    oh my gosh, so sorry you have to deal with that stress! Thanks for looking out for us and letting us know! Good luck, your wedding will be divine with or without Boston Event Work's help!

    I am so sorry, no one needs that extra stress when planning a wedding. They should definitely be giving you a discount on another band.  I hope you can find a replacement

    They're horrible. We tried booking a friend's band through them, and I ended up being stalked by them.  We didn't realize we could book directly through our friend until it was too late.

    Same here! We found out afterwards that we could have just booked directly with the drummer of the band. And also that it would have been less expensive! I wish I had known because this band was amazing! Oh well.. everything happens for a reason!!!!
