Hair/Makeup Trial and Tipping...

I'm SO excited to have my hair/makeup trial with Dana Bartone next week! I'm getting airbrush makeup and I can't wait to see how it looks. What did you all bring to your trial? I figure I should bring pictures of the hairstyles I like, pictures of the makeup that I like, and my veil/flowers for my hair. (I think I'm actually just going to bring my iPad and pull up the pictures of my favorite hair/makeup styles, rather than printing pictures out). Anything I'm missing?

Another question - I'm assuming I should tip for my trial, but I have heard that you aren't supposed to tip someone who owns their own business (i.e. Dana Bartone). Dana will be doing my trial...should I tip her? If so, is 18-20% enough?

    I brought pictures, my veil and my hair pins to my trial so I could see it all put together! Its so fun.

    Good question about the tipping. I did tip 20% but the girl doesn't own her own business.

    I brought my ipad too!  Its perfect for showing pictures.  I would tip 20% for the trial.  Have fun!!

    Thanks ladies! I could really open up the can of worms on tipping here, because I have soo many questions about who to tip at the wedding, how much to tip, when to give it to them, etc etc etc.... but I think I will spare everyone and just go back and search old posts about tipping :)

    I went last week and pulled up pinterest on my phone.  Also, bring a camera.  The hairstylist wanted to take my pictures because she knew what angles she wanted so that she could do her best to do the same thing. 

    I also saved this in my favorites a long time ago.....I should help with tipping:
