I may have missed it... but did you ever report back to us about how your final meeting with your venue went? Do you have everything squared away or is there still much to work out?

I can't believe you are in the three week range!

    Oh, I totally forgot!  This week has been busy with writing thank yous for our shower and dealing with vet appointments for Floyd.

    So everything seems to be going well and we have pretty much settled everything.  I have never been so happy to have chosen a DOC. She is going to save me so many headaches. She lives a few miles from me so the day before the wedding, I am dropping off my centerpieces, linens, guestbook, aisle runner, candy buffet and other decorations.  Then at the end of the night, she will pack it all up and leave it in one of the banquet rooms for me to bring home.

    We went over the room layout and the draping which was one of my main concerns because we have paper lanterns to hang from it. Also, I am picking up my bulk order of flowers from the florist on Thursday and everyone was worried that they would wilt before the wedding on Sunday but I think they are overreacting because when I buy flowers they normally last for weeks.

    My venue coordinator is really flighty and trying to pin down the timeline for getting ready is so stressful because they can't guarantee an early check-in for the bridal suite but there is a really nice spare function room and so we can use that as a back-up.

    I feel ready though and everything is packed up so come on 3 weeks!!  My bachelorette is tomorrow night and the girls won't tell me any details.  Anytime I am around, they make up a silly story about how it will be at a petting zoo, lol.

    AND if you read all of that, you get a lot of credit!

    Haha yup, I read the whole post! Thanks for the update - it sounds like you are in a great spot.

    Have a blast at your bach party! Hopefully they don't actually take you to a petting zoo (unless you're into that kind of thing) hahaha

    Seriously, I'd LOVE it if we went to a petting zoo! I love petting animals!

    Oh wait.... I wasn't even thinking of it that way!! Well if it isn't a G rated petting thing, I think I'd still be interested in going! Ha!!

    Haha!

    It originally was a story about a circus and then it gradually devolved into a petting zoo with some mention of the possibility of a mechanical bull.

    The only things that I know are that it is in Boston and there will be pizza and chowder and I was told to bring flats.  They knew that if they mentioned those two foods, I would definitely be there, haha.

    Honestly, it was a total shock when my 4 friends told me that they had planned something because I didn't expect it since there is no BP. I think that they were more eager to take me out because they didn't have to worry about buying a dress and throwing a shower.  Most of them have been bridesmaids 3 or 4 times and they're kinda sick of it.

    Bahahaha this thread got interesting real fast....

    Penny, my FI and his buddies will be in Boston for his bachelor party tomorrow, too!
