Stapless Help

I need everyones opion. What is the best strapless bra to wear under my dress? I am a 34D and I have the feeling that most strapless bras give me as in not staying up and not giving me enough lift.

Help and Thanks!

Re: Stapless Help

  • I bought one from davids bridal.  I don't know how your dress is but I have a 38DD and I can understand the problem of not enough lift.  They have ones that are almost like a corset so that they give a lot of support.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • I am a 34DD and I don't have any problems with dresses (BM and my wedding dress) if they are tight enough. I have found that the strapless bras will just fall down and dig in. It is much more comfortable to go without, in my opinion.

  • I am a 40D, and I got a really good (but pricey) one at Nordstroms.
also, as others have mentioned, they should alter the dress so it is form fitting, which helps the bra support you.
I suggest Nordstroms...the sales people are also very helpful.

  • You could also consider finding one of the corset style, since that will be strapless but anchor on the rest of your torso so you don't have to worry about it falling down.
  • I'm the same size (34D), and I'm forever falling/popping out of a strapless bra. Have you tried a corset?
  • I'm a 32DD so I can sometimes wear a 34D.
I got a strapless bra from maidenform that I ended up not wearing under my gown (didn't need it) however, it is AWESOME. It was a 40 buck investment and well worth it because it keeps those heavy ladies lifted and stay put. Definitely my recommendation!  Macy's carries quite a few :)
  • i wore a nu-bra and my dress was a corset back so it stayed put all day long. the nu-bra was more for comfort of just having something on than actually needing it.
  • Ask your seamstress if you can have cups sewn in, and if that would work just as well for you in this situation.  It will be a lot more comfortable and a whole lot cheaper!

    Good luck!
