Wedding favors

Hi Ladies!

I was hoping to get some feedback regarding the wedding favors. There are so many options: personalized chocolate bars and water bottles, packages of jelly bellys or different candies. I don't know which direction to follow. Any tips? My fiance and I are both Hispanic so I thought of doing Mexican Wedding Cookies but I'm not sure. Our whole wedding is pretty formal if that helps anyone, lol!

Thanks for any and all suggestions!!
Amanda

Our theme is chic and contemporary. Our colors are black, charcoal silver, and white. I'm throwing in a bit of canberry red to give the room some color :) I hope that helps, lol.

Thanks for the advice. That is more than likely what I will do, I just wanted to make sure I had more positive feedback than negative. I think i'll pick a white box to put a few in and tie them with a red bow! I'm getting so excited even though I have a while to go :) I've been planning early and have been getting awesome prices so that makes my fiance really happy. Thanks girls, and good luck with your planning :)

I agree with the other posts, the cookies will be a good favor.  Have you thought of the glassine bags?  I live those and they look a little more high end than the white boxes.

We are putting ours in the clear plastic bags and attaching a tin mexican ornament to the bag with ribbons.  My fiance's family is from the Houston and Brenham area, so we figured the tins could be a small reminder of San Antonio.

I haven't heard of glassine bags. What do they look like?

Check out impressrubberstamps.com for more ideas with the boxes and glassine bags.  Below was one of my inspirations for our favors (glassine bag), but we are using the clear bags.  Hope it helps!

I think it is more important for your favors to be personal or tie in with your theme than to be fancy or formal. My friend gave out bluebonnet seeds at a very formal wedding because she chose bluebonnet blue for her wedding color. We are giving out matchbooks (purchased on the knot wedding shop) because my mom and fiance collect them from different places. I think the cookies are a GREAT idea. Keep in mind that the way you package them will affect the presentation as well. You could use clear wrapping and a cute monogram sticker to seal or get little gift boxes. Check out the knot shop for sure!
