HELP! Venue crisis.

My wedding venue for 100 people on May 25, 2013 CANCELLED me. Extra bum deal because it was FREE as long as I purchased a Food minimum. I need a free (impossible i know) or extremely cheap place for wedding and reception. Same place, I want wedding outside and reception indoors or vice versa. I can at most spend $1000 on venue $2000 if it includes food. HELP!

    I will be watching this thread.  We were going to do El Fenix (well, were pretty sure) and they just upped their prices even more debunking it from our budget.  However, I do know there are several restuarants that will let you have a wedding there but less where you can do both.  I know in Dallas Mattitos you can have both but we found the venue to be a little on the small side for our taste.

    We have had Knotties get married at Maggiano's, Avanti at Fountain Place, and Ferrari's Italian Villa as well as El Fienix (the last two being the most budget friendly).  I suggest you try that route and put all $2k towards the F&B.  Maybe see if you can get a permit or something to get married outside at a park or at White Rock for free.  I did host a party at Pappadeux for about $20/pp (no alcohol) with no room rental fee and they let me bring in my own cake.  You would need another ceremony location though.

    When I was looking Maggiano's was a little high for your budget for 100 people. I do remember the website had tons of information tho. All of the El Fenix weddings I have seen are beautiful! My venue was Avanti for only 50 people and our f&b minimum plus rental (on a Sunday) was closer to 8,000. So...its not a super budget friendly place. Can you do out of Dallas? I really liked vineyards in Grapevine. The ones I priced included food. Might be something worth checking out...
