entertainment for sangeet?

Hey girls..i'm pretty new on this and i am getting married in october..i've been reading a lot of your posts and getting great ideas, thanks!!!
i wanted to know if anyone was doing anything special for sangeet entertainment?
we are having the sangeet the night before, its a morroccan theme. we are going to have a few dances from family and friends, but like probably 3 or so. most of my cousins and friends are "too old to dance"--whatever that means but i understand..do you guys have suggestions about entertainment? people have suggested comedian, belly dancer, singers..im not a huge fan of the singers idea cuz its usually ghazzals that are extremely booooooooooring..let me know what you think...

The belly dancers sounds like a good fit for the theme.   You could probably get a few dozen belly dancer ties (they wrap around the waist and have 'chimes' on it that make noise when you move).  The belly dancer could teach some moves and guests could wear the wrap.

I also think having a mendhi lady to apply mendhi is also a form of entertainment.  Maybe have more than one to keep people entertained?

    Goodluck!

I don't know if people HAVE to be entertained. They can talk amongst themselves, and music doesn't hurt. People are usually happy with what's going on and a wedding creates an extra buzz. I haven't even started to think about that, I just know I won't have any friends dancing at anything...not sure about that idea.

Bellydancers are great if your family doesn't get offended. My cousin's parents had one at his surprise black tie masters graduation party...and it was uncomfortable for some, but funny in general. We have a decent sense of humor, I guess.
