Hey Shoppers--Boden?

I've gotten the catalog a few times now--anyone ever order from them? I see a few things I really like, but I'm not sure what the sizing or quality is like.

Re: Hey Shoppers--Boden?

  • I haven't personally shopped there, but here is a fashion blog I sometimes look at:

  • Nates, I really like Boden, but I find that their sizes generally run a bit big.  And I think their pants fit awkwardly, but I'm shaped awkwardly so it could just be me.

Also, their "longs" aren't really that long, if that's a concern for you :)  I've never had an issue with anything I've ordered from them and think the quality is generally pretty good.  I effing love all of their tunics.  And skirts.

  • I love all of the dresses in the link Kate posted. I'm in the market for a new dress for our after party too. Dangerous situation!

Smash, that's good to know about the sizing. I fit into a wide variety of sizes but sometimes even the largest sizes stores like that have are a bit too tight. I could probably swing it if they run a bit large.

I called my H over to read this and he snorted at longs being an issue for me because he makes fun of how I'm barely 5'3". <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue Out" title="Tongue Out" />

Yay at the skirts being cute! I'm looking at a coat, a skirt and a dress, so we'll see what I end up with.
  • Ugh, fuuuck you TK.  I just typed out a long post and it got eaten.

ANYWAY.  They have a clearance sale that goes to different locations in the US.  It came to Pittsburgh last winter (December) and I went with my parents.  It was a madhouse.  They had it in the convention table, set up different tables with different sizes, and then hang up a few curtains.  People come prepared for that shiiit, because women were wearing spandex shorts and sports bras and changing out in the open.  I got a ton of stuff for really cheap, though, so I'll def go if it comes back again.

  • I miss all the good stuff.

I had never heard of Boden/paid attention to it, but I was looking through this catalogue and loved a bunch of stuff for fall. I WANT ALL THE THINGS and I can't limit myself to just a few :( I'm dying.
  • Nates, when FI gives me a hard time for ordering still more dresses from the Internet, I am going to tell him a pirate-looking lady with amazing boobs made me do it. (He loves boobs in general, so it'll probably earn me a break on the shopping.)

  • I meant convention CENTER.  Not table.  WTF, brain.

I never go to the website because I want ALL THE THINGS and have no self control.
