Save the date questions

I'm in the process of wanting to order our save the dates but I'm torn between ordering them from vistaprint or magnet street. It doesn't help that I don't know if I want to do postcards or magnets : Have you ladies had good experiences with either of these sites? Is the quality of the pics whether postcard or magnet good for both places? I also don't know what size to go with. What sizes did you ladies use? What I really like about magnet street is how they seem to have a really big variety of styles to choose from and lets you personalize them. I like how you have the option to order a sample and they ship it out to you so you can see it before you order a bunch. Any feedback would be awesome thanks girls!

Re: Save the date questions

  • I am actually ordering my STD's today from magnet street because they are offering 15 percent off through today on all multiple picture STD magnets. So I can't offer much advice on my personal experience but I can tell you doing the design online was super easy and just about every STD I have received in the last few years have been from magnet street and I've heard no complaints. Good luck choosing! Hope this helps a little...

We used Vista Print, normal size post cards for our save the dates.  They were good quality. easy to design, shipped quickly and pretty nice.  No complaints.

I really liked their larger post card size but I didnt want to pay for extra postage, so we went with the standard size

We were going to use them for our invititations too, but then i got sucked into the "wedding industry" and now plan to do mini books from minted.com

Hope that feedback helps. vistaprint will also send you a free wedding sample pack with a variety of sizes and paper stock.

<div>All of this. We also did Vistaprint standard postcards. I was only a little disappointed with the rigidity of the card stock. I'd suggest upgrading the cardstock to one of their thicker options. Other than that I loved our save the dates. </div><div>

  • We also did vistaprint post cards the normal size and I love them!! With postcards it will cost less because they are not as heavy as the magnets when you ship them.  Although my friend did vista print magnets and they turned out great as well!
  • I used Magnet Street and we ordered Mini Magnets with Magnet Cards to put in the envelopes. On the back of the magnet card is all of our accomodation information.

I got 100 Mini Magnets, 100 Magnet Cards with printing, Evelopes and 100 Return Addresses for 158.00, including Shipping. I thought that was a good deal!

Also, I ordered samples of four different types of magnets and STD's after personalizing and I was glad I did because I had to change font color and style. But it was nice to see it all before I ordered 100!

The quality is great and I can't wait to send them out!

  • We will be using Vista Print.  They did a wonderful job on our invitations and other goods we have ordered thus far.

  • We used Magnet Street and I LOVE how they turned out! I also first ordered a "just one" to see how I would like the quality and it was excellent. They also provide really nice envelopes too and I found a coupon code online and ended up saving like 50 dollars on the order! They came in a nice box and were all really great quality. We did the large magnet which is about 3.5 x 5 and it is a nice size, big enough to actually see the pictures.
  • We used Vistaprint and had a double-sided postcard AND magnet created (bizarrely enough, some of my family members special-requested magnets) and they looked great! I found a Groupon deal that gave me $70 worth of print credit for $17, so I even had money left over for custom address labels. Good experience, aside from them forgetting to include 100 envelopes with my order. They were sent shortly afterward.

  • We used Vistaprint as well. Standard postcard size. We upgraded to the higher quality paper. I think they turned out great, and the quality was exceptional. I preferred the postcard size just to save on postage.
