Flip Flop Assistance

I am looking for flip flops for my bridesmaids and the one I found at Old Navy is discontinued. :( Anyone have any good websites to look at? My maid of honor is wearing a mocha dress and the rest of the girls are wearing espresso. My other color for the wedding is pink. I'm a little torn because I have different options. Do I just stick with the brown and hope that it has a rhinestone of some sort, go with pink, silver...?

Re: Flip Flop Assistance

It is on the sand...or they go bare foot. I'm not risking the girls hurting themselves walking in heels on the sand.

What about a nice pair of flat sandals? The flip flop sound is too awful for such a nice event. It will probably be easier to walk in sandals that have straps around the ankle than flip flops too.
  • I agree with you that heels would not work for sand but are you worried at all that the flip flops will fling sand onto the backs of everyone's legs as they walk down the aisle? Just wondering because my soon to be sister in law is getting married on the beach next spring and she was really afraid of that so in the end she ended up just deciding that we will be barefoot. Maybe an option to get around the sand-flipping issues would be to get some cute strappy flat sandals that have an ankle strap around the back....just an idea!! :) Good luck and I'm sure whatever you choose will be wonderful!
  • There are a thousand options between heels and flip flops. Why bother buying an expensive gown or bridesmaid dress and wearing a pair of flip flops?

There are tons of sandals, ballet flats, wedges, etc. etc. etc. that would be 100% better than flopping down the aisle in flip flops.

  • I'm keeping my options open not ruling out the sandal idea...just wanted to see if people had any good websites besides the mainstream ones.

[QUOTE]Go barefoot! The flip flops will look tacky, and will kick sand back up onto their legs and their skirts.

As long as it's not a mid afternoon wedding in the summer.....the sand can get hot!
