Mother of the Bride/Groom Dresses

I'm taking my MOB and MOG shopping for their dresses for my wedding. I know that almost every bridal store will carry SOME MOB/MOG dresses, but they aren't always extensive by any means.

Does anyone know of any stores in Chicago or the near(ish)by suburbs that carry larger selections of MOB/MOG dresses?

I was thinking maybe Boutique Unique and House of Brides (Schaumburg).  Wolsfelt's had a few, but not very many.

Thanks for any help you can give, I appreciate it!

Have you thought of going to department stores like Nordstrom, Von Maur, etc.?
Our moms had some great choices for dresses, and wraps at department stores, and also caught some great sales.

I agree with PP. The plan is that we'll go to Nordstrom or Nieman Marcus or Carson's or some other department store and find them outfits there. There should be a much larger selection there than at HOB or David's Bridal.

Ditto PP.  I think the Department stores usually have a nicer collection, even if it's smaller sometimes.  Lord & Taylor usually has some great evening dresses for MOB and they usually have a 20% coupon you can print off.

My mom started looking at department stores, but found that a lot of the dresses were black, or were too matronly looking (jackets, beading, etc) which she didn't want, and that the colors overall were very limited (black, navy, champagne...) She did purchase a navy one from Nordstrom, which had the best selection, just in case she didn't find something she liked better since they have the 365 day return policy.

She ended up buying her dress from That Girl Boutique in Worth, but also went to and liked Bella Sposa in Orland Park, Kimberly Bond Boutique in Orland Park, All About The Dress in Lemont, and Kasia's Bridal on the NW side of the city.

She did not like HOB and David's.

My mom found hers at Macy's in the evening ware section as she (and I) wanted to avoid looking too matronly as well.

My mom tried on some dresses at bridal stores, but they were all hideous and outrageously priced.
My mom, MIL, and Aunt all had incredible luck at Lord & Taylor's, Nordstrom's, and Von Maur's. Best selections and they were much less matronly looking than the bridal stores, plus they were actually affordable.

My mom is looking at bridesmaid dress for her dress. Not the same one as my bridesmaids, but something that she likes.
