Can't remember if I sent Thank You note!

After 6 busy months I finally got all of our thank you notes sent out... or so I thought. I wrote a few here and a few there over the 6 months since our wedding. I had a checklist on my computer and deleted the gift giver after a note was sent. I recently found, amongst paperwork, an invoice from a gift sent in the mail from a friend. I can't remember if I sent her a thank you and I can't check to see if she was on my list because I deleted it! There is a chance I received the gift with the invoice, put it aside intending to put her on my list and never did. Is there a polite way to ask if she received a thank you form me without sounding ungrateful? Please help!

    I'd probably just send her another one - it's better to send somebody 2 thank yous than none, right?

    Agreed with Steph.  If you have any doubt that you sent it, I'd just send another.

    Agree with the others - when in doubt, send another.

    Not sure I understand your deleting system. Why not just mark it with a check mark or something?

    She sent a gift through the Bed, Bath, and Beyond website and they send an invoice.

    <div>I'll be honest here.  6 months is really slow to get thank yous out.  I was chatting with my roommate about this yesterday, and she mentioned how unhappy she and her mother get when they don't receive thank yous for wedding gift, and even really late ones are better than never.  Honestly I would send a second one.  If you can't remember whether you wrote it or not, you probably either didn't do it at all or did it so early on that the giver may not recall whether you sent one or not.  If the giver does recall that you sent one, they'll wonder about it for a second and then throw it away and not worry about it.  Personally, I think waiting as long as you did to send out your final thank yous looks worse than sending two thank yous, but that ship has sailed.</div>

    Send another thank you, and write something along the lines of "I was cleaning out some drawers and found the packing slip from the awesome ___ you sent us. In all the craziness post-wedding, I'm not certain whether I sent you a thank you. My apologies for the belatedness or the redundancy. =) Seriously though, ___ is great and we've been using it all the time. Thank you so much!"
