bride monogram attire

Hi, I want to get my sister and her fiance (also a woman) a bride hoody and bride bathrobe for their wedding shower. I'm hesitant to go with a random online purchase because I want them to be high quality. Does anyone have a recommendation for where to get bride-embelished clothes items? Much appreciated!  Thanks, Kate

Re: bride monogram attire

  • I know VS has a lot of the bride-embellished things like robes, hoodies, underwear, etc., so you might check there. I know my local store carries that stuff in store, you might be able to go and see it in person and check out the quality.

  • Instead of "bride" embellished items, would you consider matching robes with their initials or their names on them?  I would just find "bride" items wasteful, since wearing them after the wedding seems silly (I got a free "bride" pair of underwear from VS, and believe me, even though nobody else sees it, I still feel pretty lame wearing it a year after the wedding).
  • Marley and Lilly have adorable, high quality monogrammed robes if you decide to just go the monogram route.

She's your sister - I think monograms are fine if she likes them.  People on TK often recommend against monograms, but as long as you know the person gets things monogrammed herself, then I think it's fine.  I know most of my friends have monogrammed bags, etc that they carry a lot, so I'm getting items monogrammed for them as well.

Pottery barn has very high quality robes that can be monogrammed.
