EX, Clumsiness, All time high

I have always been clumsy, but tonight I hit an all time high.

Fi is at work so I was making myself some guacamole for dinner. It was going smoothly until I went to cut the tomato. I missed and cut the tip of my finger. I called my mom who thank god works close to wear I live. She came over and took me to urgent care. The cut the hanging tip of my finger off and burned my skin to stop the bleeding. The doctor informed me I had a slight finger amputation. 

On the bright side I can't do dishes for a week.

    OMG!!! That's crazy!!  I'm glad your (kind of) okay!  Sorry that this happened to you.  My future brother in law (who lives with us) just did this to his finger yesterday as well on a piece of glass (he works at a glass shop).

    Oh my goodness! I'm glad it wasn't worse! I think you guys need a new rule! No more sharp knives! haha My step-mom isn't alowed to have sharp knives either. :P

    Sorry this happened to you!!!!

    A few years back, I was using my Swiss army knife on a friend's leather belt because he needed a new hole.  Sliced a chunk off my dominant hands pointer finger.  I tried to get it to "reattach" by using a band aide. That didn't work. Now I have weird circular scar on my finger. I didn't have to go to the ER or anything though.

    I'm so sorry to hear this happened!  That is one thing I'm always afraid of doing.  I pray it never happens.

    Sounds like something I would do. Is it noticeable? Get better soon (and great timing with skipping out on dishes, theres so many more this time of year!)

    It wouldn't gross me out. Sorry you were in so much pain. I was thinking that them burning it would be way worse than what you did! Burns are horribly painful!
