Hair and Make up budget issues :C

as it starts to get close to cruch time Im finding more and more that the cost of the wedding is more than I hoped it would be. (I do realize that weddings can be expensive) Im trying to find some one to do my hair and make up for a resonable price, but I havnt had any luck, I know about the make up counter tricks and if I have to I will try to explore those options I have a few more things that I want to check out first, but its hair that I am having a major issue with.

I dont have any one close to me that I can have do my hair, not to mention that I have no coordination at all so I cant do it myself :C so I know that those options are out. Any ideas that any one could suggest to help bring the cost down would be appreicated.

    I got my makeup doen at Sephora at Arrowhead. All I had to do was by a $50 gift cert.  Which was fine with me because I need more make up anyways. Joclyn did my make up there. It turned out amazing!!

    I got my hair done at JcPenney's at Arrowhead. Thats were I usually go anyways. The same girl that has done my hair for the last few years did it. It cost $55.

    Of course my venue was a mile from the mall so it worked out great for me.

    Not sure what part of the Valley you live in. But if you go to a MAC or Sephora counter as was mentioned before you can get your make up done and the requirement is paying 50 bucks on product.  I recently went to MAC at the Biltmore with my friend who will be doing my make up in Vegas for the wedding. You can make appointments for those. I just showed them pictures of what kind of look I was thinking of and they walked my friend and I through the look. So that could also leave the option open for you to do your own make up. 

    I'm addicted to make up tutorials on Youtube. Let me know if you'd like that route too, cause most of them are super easy to follow. I'd gladly send you my fav make up gurus on youtube. There are also a ton of Youtube hair tutorials that are super easy to follow if you want to see you could do it yourself.

    Not sure what your style is, but my favorite hair place is Hair Pollution. Their prices are reasonable in general, I've never gotten an updo there, but I've watched them style many ladies while getting haircuts. They are great and super nice. I've seen a fashion show they styled for and the hairstyles were amazing and modern...which was why I started going to them in the first place.

    Guamibear - I'd be curious to see some of those videos on youtube...   I really need to start figuring out more about makeup.  Sounds silly, but my mom never wore any, and I had two brothers, so I don't know anything about it.  LOL

    If you search for certain looks (example: smokey eye) than you can find a lot of tutorials that way. The same can be applied to hair tutorials.

    Stephanie Nault did the make-up for me and my bridemaids and mom. She charges $50-$75 depending on how may people she does make-up for and will travel to you which was really nice when we were getting ready. We didn't have to rush place to place and we able to just have fun getting ready together.
    My make-up lasted all night and looked great in pictures. I got married in October and I am about to post my vendor reviews and links so check there for some pics :) Hope it helps
