Won't be doing engagement pics, favors, a rock/trash the dress photo session, boudoir photos

ETA: Wedding planner, DOC, real flowers, bouquet toss, garter toss, no FG or RB

umm i don't know yet... i guess when i really start getting more things planned/booked and i run out of money i'll know haha. i'm thinking maybe a limo?

We're doing without any extra photos like engagement, formals, and trash the dress, not having kids in the WP, no boutonnieres, no videographer, no wedding planner and no engagement party. I was going to skip on the limo, but my FI wanted one, so we're doing a small limo bus. I'm sure there is other WR stuff we aren't doing that I don't even realize is WR.

Hmmm we are not doing real flowers, no coordinator (id probably have to smack them around anyway lol) no boutineers, and I know there are many more, garter boquet toss those things. I just cant think of them right now.

No boutonnieres, no videographer (as of right now limited money, but if money changes we will) no wedding planner, no favors, I would say no cake, but ffamily wants us too so we are having a small two teired cake which wont be served it will be sitting on cookie table and won't feed everyone. thats as of right now, I am sure there will be other things we decide not to do, or will change what I said I didn't want to cause someone wants it aka my mom or FMIL.

I'm glad there are other people that won't be doing engagement pictures, now I don't feel alone :-P

FI and I might get 'family' photos done with our furbaby with a local pet photographer though.

We werent gonna get e-pics but it comes in our photography package, plus after I thought about seeing if we could skip it i thought it would be a great opporunity for Fiance to get use to the camera/photographer. Everytime we take pictures I swear he never smiles. So I figured this would be a great way for us to interact with our photographer and know what to some what expect on the big day. I wont be doing a trash the dress

We're not having a wedding planner (just b/c I want to plan my own wedding!). We're not doing the bouquet toss or garter toss. We are not having a videographer, bc the one I would want is from another state, waaaay too expensive, and she's booked on our day anyway. No limos just because everything is in one place.

I also have a DOC since it can be added on from the venue for $500, so I'll definitely do that so I can avoid stress

That's all I can think of at the moment.

No trash the dress or boudoir photos (even though I kind of want to do them lol), no limo, no dessert table but we will have a cake, no videographer, the only reason we may get e pics is if it comes with the package, no wedding planner, that's all I can think of for now I'm sure there will be small things to come.

I have always wanted to do the bouquet and garter toss every since I saw them in wedding movies I can't give it up ... with our visit with a possible DJ asked about it I was like YES poor FI doesn't have a say in this lol

We aren't doing trash the dress/boudoir photos either for sure. We haven't really made a decision one way or another on the tosses, I'm kinda uncomfortable with it but i'm not really sure where FI stands as of yet. Regarding DOC our venue technically/partially has one but they aren't setting up anything extra such as favors/escort cards and the like (basically any DIY they wont put up for us) SO I need to figure out either a DOC to do it or ask a friend which I really don't want to do.

Just out of curiosity- what are everyone's reasons against doing a garter/bouquet toss? I have never been to a wedding without one and was surprised to read about some of you not doing that. Is it the money or that it is really cliche?

I have a reason for each. I am not doing the bouquet toss because most of the ladies there will not be single, and I didn't want to toss it to like 3 people. So instead, we are doing an anniversary dance and giving a smaller version of my bouquet to the longest married couple. I think that's much sweeter anyway.

As for no garter toss...and this is just my opinion, so don't feel as if I'm attacking anyone in particular if you ARE doing the garter toss... but I am just not a fan and think it's a little tacky/cliche.

We are not having a DOC, videographer, dj, real wedding cake (we are having cupcakes from sam's with a 8 inch round for us to cut), no trash the dress (engagment pics and boudior were included in package), we wont have a mother- son dance (they dont want it), no real flowers, no toasts, no grand entrance, no programs (its gonna be like 10 minutes), no formal rehearsal dinner. For the RD we are going to tell everyone that we are reserving this part of a restaurant and if they would like to join us they can (we are not footing the bill for anyone but us). I think thats it, going with a really casual wedding so these wont be missed

We're not doing formal transportation, like a limo. I really want a videographer but as of right now it's just not in the budget. I may ask a friend to shoot some video for us. Skipping the garter toss also but I want to do the bouquet toss. FI is not a fan of garter toss even though I kind of want him to do it!

Probably won't do favors, and we're also not doing escort cards; opting for a board directing guests to tables instead. I will make a cute display and have placecards already at the tables. I think it's easier for everyone.
