how is your planning going? i haven't been on the board in a while, but I remember you and i have the same resort for the wedding! i can't decide which restaurant to use for the wedding dinner and for the night before...and I cant decide if i should do the bonfire dj or rent the disco!! i feel like i have so much to do but I don't know where to start! I guess I need to make out of town bags next... can't wait to see your pics!!

HI!!!! OMG I am stressing! I can't believe how close I am. We are doing the mediterranean restaurant because with 36 total that is all we are allowed to do. If you have more people like 50+ then you can do the gourmet and then 75+ is aunt ruby's steak house....

I think for the night before we are going to do the mexican restaurant just for a fun atmosphere that still has air conditioning! The gourmet seems a bit fancy for a rehersal/welcome dinner to me.

I am needing to do our programs, table numbers, escort cards, and OOT bags next.... O and write my vows LOL!

O and the freaking resort will not email me back to tell me if they got our wedding documents! We were told we sent it registered mail, but the clerk was an idiot and did it wrong so it wasn't actually registered and did not require a signature like I requested so I couldn't track it past California! UGH!!! I emailed nicole at the resort a week ago and still nothing! I am freaking out because if they didn't get it I guess FI and I will just have to do a justice of the peace her in colorado before we go since we are less then 30 days now! So annoying! Otherwise everthing is going well just busy with last minute details. My final fitting is on Tuesday so that will be great!

O and we are not doing a bonfire or renting the disco but we are doing a private reception with a DJ. That technically ends at 10 so i figure those who want to could head to the disco after. I don't know if we will or not but that is an option for those who want to! The bonfire seems really cool too and I know I have heard that some did it for the welcome pary the night before the wedding.

I'm getting married July 30th! I'm getting nervous about making sure everything is done. My invites went out early and I have about 24 people coming. I'm using Marcia Roberts for pics and Tia Flora for flowers. How about you? How's your planning going? I really wish I would have taken a mini vaction to just check things out there...

Hey!! So weird I couldn't see your posts until today!!! It said you replied but there wasn't anything there.

My planning is okay but I'm kinda stuck as to what to do next. My invites are done, I have 24 people coming....we got our rings, I made an appointment for my fitting and my maid of honor just picked out her dress. I haven't picked out my fiance's outfit yet because I was waiting to finalize the color of her dress....so now that we know that he can get a suit for himself and his groomsmen and try to match the tie with her dress.

I tentatively picked out flowers with the florist and I'm using Marcia for photos, even though I haven't heard the greatest stuff lately I'm going with it because I feel like I don't have time or energy to switch!

Mexican sounds good for the night before...or I was going to do Japanese since we have a small number.

I can't believe they didn't get your documents. I'm sending mine tomorrow...what carrier did you use?? I didn't rea'lize you had to have a certain number of guests for each restaurant, is that even if you arent doing private? I feel so in the dark about everything and I try reading BestDestinationWedding forums and that gives me some clues.

Are you doing hair and makeup at the spa?

I think it is only for doing a private. If you are just doing semi-private you should be able to pick whatever you want.

I totally understand about Marcia. She has posted some nice work through her facebook page lately which is good. I would just suggest that you email her and confirm that she will be doing your photos and not an assistant because that was a lot of the negative stuff I heard.

I still don't know if they got my documents! I used USPS. I am just crossing my fingers that they got to them ok and that I am worrying for nothing, but I really wish they would tell me so that I know for sure either way!

I am going to get my hair done at the resort spa, but not my makeup. I am going to go get my make-up done by MAC at the mall here in colorado with one of my bridesmaids. She is so good at all that so she will be able to help me the day of so that I get it just right. I am going to buy what they use and do that because I want the control over my makeup you know.

I know it is so hard because you want to do things to get them done, but you don't know what to do. Now I feel like I am scrambling to get stuff done. It was super hard for me because we had to wait to get a final number of guest because people, mainly FI's damn groomsman were being super flakey. Thankfully we have that now so I am able to do our OOT bags, table numbers and escort cards. Do you know how many people there are per table at the resort? It is probably different since I am doing private.... Then we had so much drama with groomsman, but we were finally able to get FI's outfit last week.
