Dress Dilema

I have decided to try and sell my dress... It hasn't even come in yet, but it's not what I wanted origianlly and I am sorry I settled. I want a purple dress, but all the shops would show me were prom dresses and I don't like all the sparkles and bling and such.
What I am most upset about is that I didn't even THINK of a really formal bridesmaid dress until I saw it on SYTTD a couple weeks ago. I am really sad that I made this mistake, but glad I know I can get what I want.
Now I just have to find a buyer before I can buy another dress

Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do? Any tips on selling the dress?

Do you have any pictures of your dress (can't remember everyones dress

)? I am still up in the air on my dress I have had it for quite some time now and I wonder if there is something else out there? I haven't looked or anything since I bought the one and the idea of looking again makes me cringe lol... As far as selling try posting it on recyclebride.com and the knot classifieds. We have a store here that is a wedding consignment shop that will sell your wedding items for you down side is they get a percentage of what you make off of your dress. Do you have any stores like this where you live?

Aww sorry that happened! TBH, I remember seeing your dress from last month's siggy and LOVING it. But you have to go with your heart. I think you will find someone to buy it since you have never worn it. I would try other websites too. My friend sold her unused dress on eBay for a little bit of a hit, but at least she got rid of it.

If I can't sell it and have to wear it I wont be crushed, but I want to try. My original vision was me in a purple dress and my BM's in white or ivory or something

If you were in MN, I'd say take it to Bride to Be Consignment in Burnsville- but that's a little far :-P

I guess Craigslist, RecycledBride.com, TK Classifieds or your local board would be good bets :-)
