Hi ladies! I've been gone for the last week visiting family with DH, but I'm happy to be back! I hope I haven't missed anything too crazy!

Anyways, I was just checking my e-mail and recieved this from bed bath and beyond:

I think it is hilarious! Don't get me wrong, I do like it when people include their registry info in thier invites but this just seems overboard! I also love the "don't forget to buy us presents" feel to it. I also hate it when people are constantly talking about their wedding on facebook unless of course you are inviting every one of your facebook friends to the wedding.

Oh, there is a whole wedding registry app on FB now. I got solicited to sign up for it the other day and I laughed. I have 600 friends on FB and only 85 guests on the final list.. that would be SOOOO gift grabby!

It's funny you mentioned this, a girl I know via FB recently got married & actually put as her FB status:

"Don't give gifts without gift receipts from stores that require gift receipts for returns. Not only is it tacky, but karma will be sure 2 return the favor 1 day"

Really people? Really? Oh this same girl made a wedding website & the only thing on it was her registry info & to top it off she was having DW with like 5 people -- gift grabby? I think so!

No, there's a reason I started my own practice. No jobs out there. Even as a solo, I get a lot of "Well, I want to file for divorce, and I'll definitely hire you, but I can't file 'til I (1) get a job and can pay you or (2) am able to sell my house and get some equity out of it."

Stina, trust me, it's precisely the same thing... assuming the lawyer is any good at trial work. The most painful thing to me is seeing a lawyer with obvious stagefright or complete lack of any stage presence. They fidget, pace, flail, play with the keys and change in their pockets, stumble, stammer, mumble... it's terrible.

You're right! You should come sit with me in court one day and watch this. If you're anything like me, you'll have to hold onto your seat to restrain yourself from grabbing an attorney's notes and saying, "Look, I don't know anything about your case, but PLEASE let me do this! You're killing me!"

Imagine watching jurors fall asleep during an attorney's opening statement. Or staring at his noisy pockets instead of listening to him.
