XP: Flying with your dress PSA [PIP]

I picked up my dress tonight and I bought space bags from bed bath and beyond. I called the lady that is going to steam my dress in Hawaii and she said it could show up super wrinkled and there would be no problem, that's what she does! She said if I need the space, totally do that.
So! If you aren't 100% sure of putting it in the closet or in the overhead bin, and/or you don't want to deal with a super bulky garment bag through the airports and layovers here's an alternative!
Here's the big ol' bag before I did anything. I could probably fit it in my carry-on, but nothing else.

Here it is in the spacesaver bag before sucking the air out of it.

And here it is, folded up, air sucked out, in my carry-on. It's a little stiff, but it pretty much sits flat in the bottom of the carry on and I can fit the rest of the wedding stuff in there without any problems.

I could still change my mind a million times between now and Friday but I'm really leaning towards the teal!

Brea, Please let us know how this goes with the steaming. I would love to go the same route when we travel. Wow your almost there.

I will definitely report back. I called the lady in Kihei who will be doing the steaming to double check with her before buying the bags and she said absolutely she could get the wrinkles out-- it's what she does, after all!
