Insanity workout

has anyone tried it? I am really out of shape but I figure I will give it a go.

Re: Insanity workout

  • I haven't tried it but I'm just as curious as you! I see the informercial all the time and wonder if its the kick-in-the-pants I need to lose the flab :P If you do try it out definately share the results!
  • I haven't done it, but one of my BMs is currently.  She loves that it's all cardio, but she has bad knees, and it's pretty tough on hers.  She lost 5 lbs in the first couple of weeks doing it (along with eating better), but I'm not sure what she's at now.  I know she had to stop for a little bit bc of school and the previously mentioned knee problems.  I want to borrow it from her, but I don't think my downstairs neighbor would appreciate it very much!
  • I suggest looking at a the insanity video snippets on youtube. I'm a p90xer so I thought I would take a look. OMG... looks SO hard. If you're in good shape - go for it. I'm passing though!

  • I have a friend that is doing it- he's in pretty good shape and he said he had a hard time getting past the warm up in the beginning.  Oh, and he said he's thrown up a few times.  It does look great though.  I catch myself watching the infomercial all the time!  Too expensive for me though...
  • Hello, I'm new to the boards but I was looking for someone to post something on Insanity.

I am on day 5 so I don't have any number results to share, but let me just say it hurts to even pump soap out of my soap dispenser.

I am not very fit at all either, even though I am not new to working out. I wanted to do P90X instead of Insanity but my friend got Insanity and let me borrow it. Can't beat free!

She put it to me this way, even if you can't do everything, you can take breaks and just finishing the video makes you feel good about yourself.

Like I said, I don't have any numbers to share, but I KNOW it is working. I am sore EVERYWHERE!

    Good luck everyone!
  • I'm done with month 1 and I have to say, it is true when it says it's INSANE. It is DEFINITELY not for beginners! I've done turbo jam and tae bo in the past and that's nothing compared to this. You really have to push it really hard to get through it.

But anyway, my wedding is in 3 months so I am hoping to finish month 2 and start another round of months 1 and 2 before my wedding. Wish me luck!
