Venue Suggestions?

Newly engaged couple looking for a venue in the Philadelphia/SJersey area. We have about 200-220 guests, and are hoping to not spend more than $17-20K on the venue portion of the wedding. I am trying to stay away from the P&P halls in the NE. Hoping for a September/December 2013 date. Willing to do Friday nights or holiday weekends.

Any suggestions? Kiss

  • Check out the Ballroom at the Ben! I'm getting married there in July and in my experience, they were VERY open to negotiations. They also include almost everything you'll need except table decorations, so there are fewer details to worry about :)
  • If you're open to Delaware County, try Ballrooms at Boothwyn. That's where our November reception will be.  They're awesome, flexible, and their prices are really reasonable.
    Good luck!
  • We're having our wedding at Aldie Mansion in Doylestown. It's a stunning venue especially with its balcony that faces the patio and grounds out back. It certainly has the capacity. The staff is very easy to work with. I found it through a friend's recommendation on Partyspace.com: http://partyspace.com/philadelphia/bucks-county-weddings/historic-/aldie-mansion/

Also, another venue I really liked was Merion Tribute House. Double check their capacity though. The prices are reasonable especially for Fridays. http://partyspace.com/philadelphia/montgomery-county-weddings/historic-/merion-tribute-house/
  • We just secured our date at the Valley Forge Casino/Hotel. What I love about this venue is not only that they were negotiable with our price point but within our budget we got SO MUCH included. The venue has multiple ballrooms-3 that would fit your guest amount (ours was similar) and they're gorgeous, each with they're own pro's depending on what kind of reception your looking for & even what colors your going with. The staff we've worked with thus far have been extremely friendly as well. I'm totally biased, but I love it Smile

  • Auletto's in Deptford (right off the Walt Whitman Bridge). We paid $106 per person for a Sunday afternoon wedding. Includes a buffet, open bar, cocktail hour with appetizers, ceremony location, day-of bridal assistant, wedding cake from Termini's, and fresh floral centerpieces for all of your tables (you go to a specific florist and pick them out yourself).
