Ugggggggh (SWR)

Semi wedding-related vent. I've been having foot issues for a few weeks now...turns out I have a stress fracture :(. I'm on crutches for 2+ weeks, and in a cast boot for at least 6. Really puts a damper on my wedding-get into-shapeness (plus crutches REALLY suck!)

well, just think of it as 6 weeks of upper body, abs, and core! nobody sees your legs under a wedding dress anyway, it's the upper body that counts. good luck!

Ditto Jennlin. Upperbody abs and core. You might even still be able to do some lifting with your butt and hamstrings. You can still do it, even though you can't really do cardio. Once you get your boot off I highly recommend swimming for a low impact great work out.

A couple ideas: you might want to check out the YMCA. They often have exercise equipment designed for people of all abilities - like a hand crank that can help with your cardio. Also consider ordering some seated exercise videos - just go to Amazon and look up 'seated exercise dvd'.

Lke everyone said, this is a great chance to tone up your arms and back - which really will show in your dress. Then, when you can do serious cardio again, just hit it hard.

Don't fret too much, just focus hard on the diet and what you can do now!

Aw, thanks you guys! I'm going to see my personal trainer tonight, so I can build up some great arm muscles. Ugh, such a bummer though. For reference to everyone, if your foot hurts, don't keep walking on it :)

    You girls are so fab!

agree that crutches suck, i saw a lady that was using a scooter with a seat (that she rested her injured leg on.  its seems way more practical and less sore for your armpits. but heck ya you will get awesome toned arms.

Boo, but if you have access to water aerobics, might be a good option??
