Every officiant we have contacted has said that a ceremony that is non religious, short and sweet will run fifteen minutes. We are looking to get to 30 minutes. What are some traditions we could use that aren't religious?

    I'm Scottish and we are reciting our vows with an oathing stone. If you choose some sort of tradition like that, you could "eat up the clock" by explaining them possibly.

    lol im trying to make a religious ceremony no longer then 15 minutes! its hard!!! hahaha. Having said that, theres the unity sand/salt/candle ideas, you could have someone sing a special song, read a poem about love, recite the lyrics to your favorite song in lyrical speech style, you could have the officiant talk about how you met/read advice about marraige that maybe your parents or grandparents write down, you could incorporate traditions from your culture of orgin if you have different ethnic backgrounds, theres so many things you could do!
