Veil - Just what I wanted!

Back in September when trying on sample gowns, the boutique owner put a veil on me that I actually liked.  My baby sister took a picture of it and our mom LOVED it as well. The boutique closed and I didn't get the brand or name of the veil.  I was also embroiled in other stresses at the time and didn't give the veil another thought.

A little over two weeks ago my mom asked me what my veil looked like, and so it  got me thinking about it again.  I decided that perhaps a simple sheer one layer veil might look really nice.  So I started the hunt in earnest.  After many website views I was losing hope the veil I wanted was going to cost close to $100.00 or more once shipping was added in.

Then I found Obridal.com,  Occansey Designs, they create custom wedding veils. I ordered a 20 inch, mantilla cut, single layer, no gather, 3" clear comb, pencil edge veil in white.  Total shipped to me just over $33.00.  It arrived today and is exactly what I wanted. The site doesn't accept returns as each item is custom made, that being said if you know exactly what you want you can purchase a veil at a very reasonable cost.

I will try it on with my gown this coming Saturday as I have an appointment for another fitting!

Thanks Lisa, I'm very confident that it will go with the dress just fine.  The dress is really detailed and the veil is plain and extremely sheer.

Congrats! Great price! I always marvel at the cost of veils, considering tulle costs about $2 a yard, LOL.

I personally am re-purposing a veil from over 30 years ago when I was supposed to marry my end-of-high-school sweetheart. I tea-died some lace tonight to try to get a similar aged "yellowness", for the side near the gather,  not too bad.

Good luck. Hope it looks maaaahvelous!
