I don't eat lamb, because I used to exhibit/show them at livestock fairs and Supermarkets don't sell them here, so were I to eat them I would essentially be eating a pet...I've heard they're incredibly fatty. Is this true?
Abigail - I don't each lamb much myself, it is BF's favourite though. These are actually frozen lamb shanks from New Zealand. I'm not sure how fatty they are though.

Here are a couple of recipes that look yummy to me. I haven't cooked lamb before, though. Real Simple and Epicurious are my fave recipe sources.

From what i read slow roasting seems to be the way to go. There are just a lot of different spice and vegetable options.
