Country Barn in Lancaster

I've been reading a lot of good reviews about the Country Barn. My fiance & I have an appointment to go check the place out on Sunday. If you had your wedding there, were there any problems you ran into? And what is the price range?

I had my wedding there on 8-31-08 and had no problems whatsoever.

My wedding is there in about 2 months! I really like the barn and if you are having your ceremony and reception there, the grounds at the B&B are beautiful. The grounds around the barn are okay but depending on when your wedding is, they do have other activities going on in the fall. I'm a neat freak so some of the little details outside bother me but the inside of the barn is absolutely wonderful! So far we've had no problems. I go there for line dancing on Tuesdays sometimes to dance obviously.. lol.. but also to look around to get ideas for decorating and placement of things. I hope you enjoy it. Be very firm with Jim. Tell him what you want and don't be afraid to tell him what you think.
I found the prices pretty reasonable. Pretty much everything is included. The food, rental of the place, tables, chairs, linen, china etc. I've heard great things about thier food. I believe the price is depending on how many people will be there so its a per person pricing range. You'll have to let us other "country barn chicks" know how it goes! Good Luck!!

Let me know what you find out please. I am not in the area and trying to get information on their property, and he really wants me to come meet him there just to get the basics. Usually people will give us a general range so we know if it even fits into our budget, and if we should make the trip to see the venue.

I'm having my wedding there on 10-10-10. We are getting married at the B&B and then having the reception at the barn. I love hayrides so i asked Jim if the bridal party and of course me and the groom can go on a hayride to the pumpkin patch to get pics taken he said sure. We are even thinking about having a pig race and then i get to kiss the pig that wins! i'm so giddy about our wedding because i didn't want it to be a 'typical" wedding. the pricing is based on how many people you have attending. The inside of the barn is soooo nice too, i stopped by the barn to show my mom and Jim showed me and my mom the new upstairs of the barn that he just fixed up, it is amazing!!!! I loved the pics that "sallypa" had taken there especially the ones all around the property! Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

I'm also looking at the Country Barn as a possible ceremony/reception location. I'd like to hear other people's experiences there. I've only seen a few reviews on the web. Most were good, but there was one terrible one that makes me a little wary. I haven't met with Jim yet, but it drives me nuts when people insist that you meet with them instead of just sending you info in writing that is clear about basic costs. I know things will always vary, but give me something! I don't want to waste my time or theirs.
